Greater Washington Jump$tart values working with you as a partner. We appreciate that you believe as we do that personal finance should be included in the education of all students. We strive to improve the financial smarts for students, locally. We are concerned to support our academic partners and benefit students in schools located in low- and moderate-income communities. We are pleased that your active partnership has enabled us to deliver the best resources through the coalition’s projects and activities. Together, we are making a positive impact in our local schools and communities during the 2014-2015 school year including:

DOWNLOADABLE MATERIALS related to national and state standards, research, curriculum, strategy, and other educational resources;
PARTNER RESOURCE LINK with online listing of speakers to present in schools, communities, and youth programs to conduct and/or support financial literacy;
PARTNERING FOR EDUCATOR TRAINING to sponsor professional development events for PreK-12 classroom educators;
PERSONAL FINANCE EDUCATOR-OF-THE-YEAR RECOGNITION AND CONFERENCE SCHOLARSHIP AWARD for Jump$tart National Educator Conference;
GWJ$ GIVE BACK to share educational resources with educators and parents offered through partners and other trusted sources;
FINANCIAL LITERACY SCHOOL COMMUNITY RESOURCE EVENTS to support parent involvement programs on teaching financial literacy;
ADOPT-A-LIBRARY FOR FINANCIAL LITERACY MONTH (APRIL) to raise public awareness about the need for financial literacy and education in school; and
NETWORKING to share resources, expertise, and a channel to form other partnerships via monthly teleconferences, quarterly meetings, conference exhibits, and DC Financial Literacy Council as scheduled.
