Hey HERO Central volunteers!

I don’t know about you, but I am MISSING HERO Central! It feels like an incredibly long time since we’ve been together with the kiddos. I’ve heard from many parents that the weekly interactions, worship, and time spent in HERO Central has been greatly missed.

As we prayerfully look toward the next few weeks and months and look at slowly re-opening children’s ministry, we will be implementing quite a few safety measures to fit in the guidelines set by the CDC. First off, parents will be required to register their children ahead of time, just like we do in “big church.” We will be limiting our class sizes to 10 kiddos at Ryf, and a smaller number at New City. This will ensure that we are able to space everyone out adequately.

As the state mandate currently requires, everyone over the age of 5 must wear a face masks while inside the building. Children will have their temperatures taken at check-in and will visit a hand-sanitizing station before entering and exiting the classroom area. In between services, all surfaces will be sanitized. In rooms with toys, there will be separate bins for each service, which will decrease the number of children touching the same item.

I would really appreciate it if you would answer the following questions to help guide our decisions regarding HERO Central. Without you, we are unable to operate, and I value your thoughts, feelings, and opinions.
