Legacy Award - 2026 Nomination Form

The First Work Legacy Award honours exceptional individuals in the community-based employment service sector who have demonstrated unwavering commitment and dedication to the sector and made enduring contributions that have impacted the workforce development landscape.

Please note, nominations are for First Work Members only. Submissions external to the network will not be considered.
Award Criteria
This prestigious award is reserved for individuals who have served over 25+ years in the community-based employment service sector. Eligible candidates include those who are either continuing to work in the sector, leaving or retiring or are retired within one year of this nomination. Key criteria for consideration:
  • Demonstrated significant contributions and achievements in the community, organization, and across the sector.
  • Sector-wide impact, extending beyond the boundaries of their agency.
  • Showcased leadership in the sector through advocacy, innovation, collaboration or/and shared practices.
Eligibility Requirement
  • Nominations can be submitted by the nominee's organization or peers.
  • More than one person from the same organization can be nominated, with an emphasis on quality over quantity.
  • Nominees must have actively contributed to the sector's betterment over the course of a decade
