2016 FutureWork Forum attendees put a stake in the ground. For North Carolina to properly prepare its people for the future of work, the state must:
Greatly expand the availability of Project-Based Learning opportunities to help students better connect learning to real-world applications.
Based on their many conversations, those who convened before and during the Forum appeared to define Project-Based Learning as: Problem-focused teaching and learning that teaches technical, academic, and employability skills with real world application, and/or in real work environments.
