Future Public Transportation Conference Format

WSTA is gearing up to sign contracts with Convention Centers and Hotels for the 2024 and 2025 Washington State Public Transportation Conference, Vendor Expo, and State Roadeo.

Because we do not have a contract now, this provides a unique opportunity to change the format and add value to the conference.

Over the years, we have heard great feedback, but one comment has been, "the conference is too short, and there is too much too fast."

Please take a quick moment and let us know how you feel about the proposed format:

Option 1 - Remain the same with the following general format:
  • Saturday Morning: Roadeo Practice
  • Sunday Morning: Roadeo Competition
  • Sunday Afternoon/Evening: Committee/Board meetings, & Roadeo Banquet
  • Monday all day: Conference
  • Tuesday all day: Conference ending with Wall of Fame Banquet

Option 2 - Adding 3rd Day to Conference:
  • Saturday Morning: Roadeo Practice
  • Sunday Morning: Roadeo Competition
  • Sunday/Evening: Roadeo Banquet
  • New: Monday morning: Committee Meetings/Board Meetings
  • New: Conference Starts with 1st General Session with Monday Lunch, and programming in the afternoon
  • Tuesday: Conference Programming and Events
  • Wednesday: Conference Programming and Events, ending with Wall of Fame Banquet and End of Conference Entertainment.
This new format allows for another half day of programming, which allows the conference's speed to slow down, and provides space and time for networking. Further, it gives time on Sunday for many members to attend the Roadeo/Committees and Board meetings and the banquet.
