I hope that this survey finds you healthy and well during this time of nervousness and uncertainty.
I am sorry to inform you that the Tennessee Workers' Compensation Educational Conference previously scheduled for June 10-12, 2020, has been postponed. We are working to determine whether it should be rescheduled or canceled. The safety of our attendees, our staff and the community as a whole demand this action.
Extensive work had already been performed on what would have been the 23rd offering of this event. An agenda had been planned, topics had been determined and speakers had been arranged. To those that had made plans to attend and participate in any manner, I hope and trust that you understand the reasoning for this tough decision.
In lieu of the current "Stay at Home/Work at Home" orders and the need for social distancing, the Tennessee Bureau of Workers' Compensation is trying to determine whether or not to reschedule the conference for later this year. If so, should it be reconfigured to a shorter event? We are polling our constituents, including attendees from previous conferences and others, to determine their thoughts and would like to request your opinion. Your input will greatly help us to make that decision.
