Class5 Self Assessment Medical Conditions

Have your say

Your SAAA Exec recently met with CASA in Canberra to discuss a date for a review of the conditions for Class5 Self Assessment Medical Conditions. We have already submitted suggestions on progressing the conditions, these include:

1. Lifting the number of passengers allowed to the number of seats fitted to 2000kg complying aircraft. (current limitation is one only passenger, total)

2. Include Formation, Aerobatic and Night VFR which are all subject to Endorsement, Currency and proper briefings. (current limitations don’t include any of these endorsements)

We would like to get feedback from as many Members as possible so we encourage you to participate in the attached survey which will be completely anonymous, please feel free to give us your ideas even if you aren’t participating in Class5 yet.

Please note: Your identity is annoymous for this survey. We will be passing on the results of this survey to CASA.
