2. The Council is keen to reduce incentives people receive for keeping properties unoccupied and is proposing to reduce some of the discounts available on Council Tax – do you support these changes:
For properties that have been empty for more than two years the government is allowing the Council to charge a premium of 50% on top of the normal Council Tax. The Council is considering charging this premium in 2014/15 – do you agree with this proposal to charge this premium?
