Food, Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) Survey- Armstrong Teasdale

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) received a legislative mandate to require comprehensive, prevention-based controls across the U.S. food supply to prevent foodborne illness. This is the most sweeping reform to food safety laws in more than 70 years. The purpose of this mandate is to hold the human and animal food industries accountable for its responsibility to produce safe food.
Are you ready for the FSMA changes and how they may affect your organization? We’ve created a short, five-question survey to better understand the companies and organizations we serve. The questions are focused on overall awareness of FSMA requirements and your organization’s comfort with implementing the new FSMA requirements. Your responses to this survey will be kept confidential and anonymous.
1.How familiar is your organization with the new FSMA regulatory requirements?
2.How confident are you in your organization’s ability to assess which FSMA regulatory requirements apply to its operations, and which ones do not?
3.How equipped is your organization to update its current policies and procedures around the new FSMA regulatory requirements?
(FSMA requires separate policies and procedures addressing intentional adulteration of the supply chain, current good manufacturing practices, risk-based preventative controls, recall plans, foreign supplier verification programs, and others, unless an exemption applies)
4.How prepared is your organization to update these policies and procedures by their FDA imposed deadlines for the entire supply chain?
5.How prepared is your organization in responding to FDA inquiries, including handling administrative actions for FSMA and general FDA non-compliance, and handling increased FDA surveillance?
6.Would like to be contacted for a complimentary 30 minute consultation on how Armstrong Teasdale may help you with new FSMA changes?
