Question Title

* 1. Treasurer

Keith's Bio- Keith retired as an Operations Manager from Lee County and was responsibilities for Total Daily Maximum Loads (TMDL), Basin Management Plans (BMAP) and Municipal Separate Stormwater Sewer System (MS4) programs. He was the Director of the Lee County Environmental Laboratory for 28 years. Keith is a graduate of University of South Florida with a B.S. Chemistry. He served as the FSEA President from 2009-2011.

Keith has co-chaired the South Florida Regional Ambient Monitoring Program. He was a member of the Standard Methods Committee and worked on the Solids 2540 Joint Task Group. Keith has been a member of the Florida Society of Environmental Analysts since 2008 and has been serving as FSEA Treasure since November of 2017. Keith has been using Quicken, the software used for FSEA bookkeeping since 1993.

Keith has shared his knowledge through presentations made to State and National audiences regarding laboratory automation and quality assurance.

Cathie's Bio - Cathie Catasus is the Program Manager for Lake County's Water Resources and the Water Lab where she has worked for over 27 years, starting as an analyst and working her way up to Supervisor of the lab and is now a Program Manager. Prior to working for Lake County, she worked in a private environmental lab performing microbiology and wet chemistry analyses. Cathie has served in many leadership roles in FSEA since becoming a member over 27 years ago. Currently she is serving as the Secretary, the Host and Program Committee chair, and the Executive Administrator. She also served as Region 3 Director for multiple terms. You may know her as the person that calls the numbers for the door prizes at the semi-annual meetings. She looks forward to continuing to serve her fellow members in FSEA.

Megan's Bio - Megan Beaman is the Quality Assurance LIMS Officer at JEA Laboratory Services in Jacksonville, FL. She grew up in South Florida and has always strived to be an environmental steward. Megan started her career in water quality doing undergraduate research on GAC filters at UCF where she received a bachelor’s in Biology and Biomedical sciences. After graduation, she moved to Jacksonville and worked as a Laboratory Technician at an Industrial Pretreatment Water Plant. After this position, she transitioned to a few roles at JEA, including a Lab Technician working in the Fuels Lab at the Northside Generating Station and a Field Sampler for the Water Lab. She has been a member of FSEA since 2021 and is excited to continue her position as Region 2 Director.

Mark's Bio - Mark Alessandroni is the Principal Consultant for the Markay Consulting Group, a company he founded in 2011. Over the course of his 30+year career, Mark has worked as a research chemist, a consulting chemist, a professional environmental engineer, and as an environmental laboratory owner and technical director at Lakeland Laboratories, the laboratory he co-founded in October 2002. In his current role, Mark provides professional consulting services to environmental laboratories, industrial and commercial Clients, and litigation support to legal professionals. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Troy State University in 1989 and his Master of Engineering degree from the University of South Florida in 1995. Mark is a registered professional engineer in Florida and Georgia, a Certified Hazardous Materials Manager and has been an active member of the Florida Society of Environmental Analysts for the last 22 years and served the last four years as Region 4 Director.

Eusebio's Bio - Eusebio works for Lake Worth Beach Water Utilities where he serves as an analyst and Technical Director. He has been a member of FSEA for 2 years.

* 6. Shining Star Award - This award is to recognize an analyst or field sampler that has gone above and beyond. Please include their name, your organization name and the specifics of how they are a "shining star", (i.e. staying late to finish a project, helping out another coworker, starting a new method for your lab to get certified in, etc.). The winner will receive free registration for the upcoming Fall Conference and one night free hotel stay. (the accomplishments of the runner-up nominees may be shared on our social media sites to thank them for their contributions)
