ATIXA and NABITA invite program proposals for their Joint Annual Conference, taking place October 12-17, 2026 in Baltimore, Maryland.

The Call for Proposals will close on Friday, August 14. Applicants will be notified of acceptance or rejection via email by Friday, September 4.

This year, Concurrent Sessions will be held between October 13-15.

Concurrent Sessions
  • Concurrent sessions are 75 minutes long
  • We are seeking sessions which present information in the following areas:
    • Innovative BIT practices or programs
    • Research related to BIT operations, practices, or procedures
    • Assessment or interventions related to specialized populations
    • Threat, crisis, or violence prevention, assessment, or intervention best practices
    • Collaboration and communication with campus stakeholders
    • Threat Assessment within the K-12 Space
    • Collaboration between BIT and Title IX
    • Research related to Title IX
    • Title IX policies, advocacy, and prevention
    • Title VI
    • Title VII
    • ADA/504
    • The Violence Against Women Act 304 (VAWA)
    • Hearing panels
    • K-12-related topics
    • Sex and gender equity
    • The Clery Act
  • Selections will be based on the following criteria:
    • Relevance to the topics of prevention, assessment, model programs, and case management
    • Completeness, detail and professionalism of the proposal
    • Evidence‐based, promising and innovative model programs/practices are welcome
    • Engaging format, presenters and/or concepts
If your Concurrent Session is selected, the abstract/learning objectives provided in the application will be included on the event site. Please make sure they clearly convey the objective, theme, and style of the session.

By submitting this program proposal, I agree that any presentation materials will be submitted by October 2, 2026 to be made available to attendees in advance of the summit. I agree that ATIXA and NABITA are entitled to use and distribute these materials to members and conference attendees.

Please note: While ATIXA and NABITA are thankful for your time and submission, selection does not include travel, hotel, meals, or registration costs. Those selected will receive a discounted conference registration rate of $399.
