The Peoria Park District maintains several park amenities that support West Peoria including but not limited to Franciscan Recreation Complex, Madison Golf Course, Bradley Park, and Rocky Glen Park.

In June 2020, the Peoria Park District Board of Trustees approved the short-term closure of the Franciscan Recreation Center building as a cost-savings measure.  As part of the closure, the board voted to establish a working group comprised of representatives of the District, the West Peoria City Council, and city residents to consider the future of the building.  This group seeks to get your input and based on your feedback to the following questions, will seek private partner(s) to help re-open FRC to support the residents there.  Thanks in advance for your help!
