The Soul Trak College Ambassador Cohort is an environmental leadership program for college students who identify with the BIPOC community in the D.C. metro area. Ambassadors will gain experience and knowledge in outdoor leadership, community organizing, and event management and planning, all while engaging and activating their peers in outdoor programming and stewardship initiatives. The cohort also provides an opportunity for ambassadors to network with a vibrant community of BIPOC outdoor leaders, brands, and organizations who are also committed to the mission of diversifying the outdoors, including brands such as Patagonia and Outdoor Voices. By the end of the program, ambassadors are empowered to execute their own initiative in their community to promote access to the outdoors, and participate in an overnight camping trip where they will utilize their environmental and community leadership skills. The program runs for 6 weeks, meeting twice a week on Wednesdays and Saturdays from March 16, 2024 through April 26, 2024.
