Thank you for your interest in attending the Empowered Parenting: Raising a Child with Autism Spectrum Disorder!

You will leave this 4-part workshop series with a “Toolbox” of strategies to maintain a strong connection with your child, set reasonable limits and expectations, address sensory needs at home and in the community, and reduce personal and familial stress.

These workshops are geared towards parents and caregivers of children under the age of five who have recently received a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), or are in the process of having their child evaluated. Participants will discuss the early signs of ASD, and the distinct challenges the diagnosis can present for families as they learn to adjust, adapt, and become advocates for their children.

The workshop series is completely free to attend through the generosity of the New York City Council Autism Awareness Initiative; though advanced registration is requested.
