3C Society Volunteer Genealogy Research Application

3.Please provide a brief description of your background and experience in conducting genealogy research. Include information about research that you have done that focuses on Black families and/or Black post-emancipation communities.(Required.)
4.Please tell us about your interest in volunteering with this project.(Required.)
5.The current funding cycle for the project ends on 30 June 2026. Would you be able to volunteer at least through the rest of this grant year.(Required.)
The project uses collaborative research practices that require the use of Family Search and WikiTree. The Project Team will provide volunteers with the training needed for both of those platforms. Please use the next two questions to describe your experience to date with Family Search and WikiTree.

8.Training sessions for new volunteers are scheduled for Saturday 1-3 PM ET on Oct 11th and Saturday 1-3 PM ET on Oct 25th. (Attendance during both sessions is required.) Are you able and willing to participate in both sessions?(Required.)
9.The 3C Society is an all-volunteer group that needs a lot of help as this project continues to grow. Volunteers have helped in areas such as grant writing, data management, recruiting fellow volunteers and designing the society’s website, but all kinds of help is still needed. Do you have talents other than genealogical research that you might be willing to offer the project as a volunteer? If so, awesome! Please describe your suggestions below.
