LeadingAge Colorado Emerging Leaders – 50 for the Next 50

Purpose: To identify and acknowledge emerging leaders in the senior living and aging services industry who in addition to receiving recognition, will be asked to provide program feedback and ideas for the good of LeadingAge Colorado and its sustainability.

Goal: To identify 50 emerging leaders into the program by December 2018 as the celebration of our 50th anniversary comes to a close.

What makes someone a strong candidate?

The LeadingAge Colorado Governance Committee is seeking applicants who are charting the course for the future of senior living and aging services. They are pursuing innovation. They are advancing excellence in nursing, personal care, social services, management, business operations, administrative support, food service, or environmental services. Or, they may be advancing excellence in one of the many product and service lines our business members provide. They are changing the conversation on aging through positive stories. They are inviting, embracing and implementing new ideas on what it means to age well and live fully.

Membership: Open to all LeadingAge Colorado provider and business members.

How to Apply and/or Nominate: Staff professionals employed by member organizations are eligible to apply, or CEOs, Managers, Administrators or other supervisory staff may nominate staff professionals whom they identify as emerging leaders in their organization. Multiple nominations may be submitted, however, LeadingAge Colorado reserves the right to limit the number of individuals selected.

Engagement:  The initial commitment may include periodic conference calls and surveys. Face-to-face meetings and additional engagement may follow and will be determined by LeadingAge Colorado in conjunction with Emerging Leaders.

Term & Time Commitment:  December 2018 - December 2019 with opportunity for renewal and approximately 1-2 hours per month

Selection and Announcement: Members will be selected by the LeadingAge Colorado Governance Committee and introduced at the Annual Luncheon/Membership meeting December 4th. Attendance is encouraged but not required for both the emerging leader and his or her supervisor.

Enrollment Fee: If accepted, there is a $99 enrollment fee. This fee will include the registration fee for the December annual meeting and luncheon.

Instructions for completing the form.  This form may be used for self-nominations and supervisor nominations., However, a supervisor signature is required for both approaches. If you are the supervisor, please have your nominee answer question #6.
