In preparation for the next stage of the Vatican's Synod on the Family, Pope Francis is asking Catholics from around the world to provide him with input on how the Roman Catholic Church may more effectively serve the needs of the people.
In response to this request, All Saints Parish, a Catholic community in Syracuse, New York, is reaching out to current and former Catholics who, based on personal experiences, may not feel fully welcome in the Church because of its teachings on or pastoral attitudes regarding family life & marriage, separation & divorce, and LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender) and other non-heterosexual orientations.
The purpose of this survey is to gather input from your experiences and perspectives that will be passed on to the Holy Father. Please note that this survey is anonymous and you will not be asked for any personal identification. If you would be interested in seeing the survey report or would like to be in contact with us for any reason, you may indicate this at the end of the survey.
Thank you for your participation,
The All Saints Parish Community
Note: Throughout this survey, we use the term "the Church" to refer specifically to the whole Roman Catholic Church, not a particular parish community. Also, we use the word "pastoral" to refer to the manner in which lay and ordained ministers of the Church convey Church teaching in their practice. This survey will close on Friday, February 27, 2015 at 11:59PM.
