2017 National Philanthropy Day Awards Nomination Survey

Nominations are open until July 31 at 5pm for the Association of Fundraising Professionals – Ozarks Region Chapter’s 2017 National Philanthropy Day awards. Feel free to nominate multiple people/organizations/companies by completing this form as many times as you wish while nominations are open. Once nominations close, the selection committee will notify nominees of their nomination, and then proceed to select the 2017 award winners. Winners will be honored at the National Philanthropy Day luncheon at the White River Conference Room on Tuesday, November 14, 2017. Outstanding Philanthropic Media Organization of the Year
This award honors a television, radio, or print organization which has demonstrated outstanding support of the charitable community through gifts of in-kind services (air time, print space production, etc.) and/or cash to non-profit organizations in the community. The Outstanding Media Organization Award recognizes the valuable services provided by the selected media organization in publicizing the needs of local charities.

Outstanding Philanthropic Foundation of the Year
The Foundation chosen for this award has a history of supporting the community through grants and contributions to a variety of non-profit projects. This Foundation demonstrates commitment to the community through charitable contributions and leadership giving, which helps to inspire others to become financially supportive of charitable causes and philanthropy.

Outstanding Philanthropic Business/Corporation of the Year
This corporation and its corporate foundation has a history of financial support to a variety of the community’s non-profit causes and events. Involvement by the company’s personnel in leadership roles and as volunteers in the non-profit sector is also considered when selection of the Outstanding Corporation Award is made.

Outstanding Volunteer Fundraiser of the Year
These volunteers demonstrate exceptional skill in coordinating major fundraising projects involving groups of volunteers. They possess proven abilities in motivating groups of supporters, both volunteers and contributors, for fundraising projects, events, and capital campaigns for charitable organizations.

Outstanding Philanthropist of the Year
Exceptional generosity will characterize this special individual or family. The Outstanding Philanthropist has demonstrated civic and charitable responsibility and serves as an inspiration to others to take leadership roles in philanthropy and community involvement.

Outstanding Fundraising Professional of the Year
This award is presented to a fundraising professional demonstrating commitment to the profession, knowledge of the industry, and leadership capabilities. The individual will also exemplify the ethics and standards set forth by the Association of Fundraising Professionals. Nominees should have a track record of service, and advancing philanthropy in their workplace and the greater community.

Outstanding Fundraising Campaign/Event of the Year
This award is presented to an organization for an outstanding campaign or event. Through innovative fundraising efforts that engage donors, volunteers, board and staff to raise funds and awareness to further the mission of the organization. Established in 2013.
