WCHS Festival of Trees Request

Welcome! We are excited for your participation in the Wright County Historical Society's 2022 Festival of Trees, which runs from Thursday, December 1, 2022 through Friday, January 6, 2023.

This form is for individuals, families, groups and organizations to request a tree for decorating during the 2022 Festival of Trees.

All requests must be submitted through this online form, are reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis by WCHS staff, and will be approved or denied through email. Due to the increased number of requests staff can no longer take requests by phone or at the Heritage Center--we want to make sure no one's request gets lost in the holiday rush:

Here are the specifics:

1. WCHS will provide you a 6.5' unlit green tree for your use.

2. NO GLITTER. Christmas is glittery, we agree, but don't do it as glitter is infiltrating our collections.

3. BRING YOUR OWN LIGHTS, LED ONLY PLEASE. While some trees may have lights attached, we can't confirm that they work. Please do not remove existing lights from our trees. Plan to bring all your own ornaments, skirting, and any other decorations you wish to include on your tree.

4. Community decorating will take place between November 7-18, 2022 to allow WCHS staff to complete set-up of remaining trees, staging and all those little extras needed for the December 1, 2022 opening.

I know this is a request for a tree only, does not confirm my participation, and I will receive an email confirmation within two weeks.

Tree decorating must be completed during WCHS business hours between November 7-18, 2022. We regret any trees not decorated in this time frame will revert to WCHS staff unless prior arrangements are made

I am guaranteed a 6.5' unlit tree.

No food items are allowed in any of the galleries (including edible ornaments, snacks or giveaways).

Tree lights must be LED only, no incandescent lights.

I will un-decorate and remove all of my tree items between January 9-13, 2023, and understand that WCHS cannot store my ornaments from year to year.

I understand that this is a public display with thousands of people attending, therefore I will not hold the Wright County Historical Society's staff, board of directors or volunteers responsible for any loss or damage to my items.

GLITTER in any form is not allowed.

Pictures of my tree may be used by WCHS for marketing, publicity, or a number of other activities.
