Introduction

As a First Nations youth in BC, you are important for the future of our local Nations. To support your voice, needs, interests, and priorities, The First Nations Public Service Secretariat (FNPSS) is committed to understanding and advocating for you to support your professional development and interest in working in public administration and governance, on an individual and Nation-level.

Our research is indicating the First Nations Governments, who are the largest (22%) employers of Indigenous people in Canada, are facing a crisis in the coming years with mature leaders, managers, and staff starting to retire, and little support for our youth to step into these important positions. In BC there is only one Indigenous Administrators Program, and no dedicated research pm this important issue. We want to change that and ensure on-going improvements in our people's quality of life for future generations.

As the first step to participation, we are asking you to fill out this short survey intended to identify your needs and interests to determine FNPSS Youth Network priorities, as well as your availability for a virtual informational group session.
