In partnership with Pierce College, Mi Centro is opening its official Lakewood office at Pierce College Fort Steilacoom.
To commemorate this historic partnership, Mi Centro is soliciting Pierce College students for their creativity and talent to design the murals within Mi Centro's office space.
Two murals are planned to be placed in the office, in which two designs will be selected amongst the submissions. This is a paid opportunity. Students will be paid $1500 for their designs, and be awarded a small budget to purchase materials. Multiple awards may be granted to an individual artist.
Direct wall painted murals are desired, but templated murals that can be hung up to the wall are accepted.
See below for Mi Centro's existing murals at our Tacoma office. Ideally, submitted designs will follow these styles - but creativity is always welcomed! Please include Pierce College's logo, or a restyled version to conform with the piece, in your submission (The right two murals are on the outside of Mi Centro's Tacoma office if you would like to see them in person)

Submissions are due by Friday, September 11 11:59 PM. No late submissions will be accepted unless otherwise posted.
Submissions should be uploaded to this application or sent to
adan.espino@micentrowa.org, with email title "Mural Art Submission"
Please reach out to this same email with any questions.
