Introduction
Mill Street serves as an important neighborhood street, providing access for residents, local businesses, and connections to key arterial routes like Centennial Boulevard and Main Street. As a collector street, it is used daily by people driving, walking, biking, and accessing nearby bus stops.
Recent improvements included reconstructing the street and installing six speed humps and five raised crosswalks to help slow traffic and improve visibility and safety. These changes were designed to create a safer, more predictable environment, especially for people walking and biking, and to improve access to transit and neighborhood destinations. Now that these features are in place, the City of Springfield wants to hear from you.
Your feedback will help us understand whether these traffic calming measures are improving safety, influencing driver behavior, and supporting a safer, more comfortable street for everyone. Please share your experience by completing the anonymous survey.
