1. CIS Round 7: Disability Program Navigator Initiative

The Disability Program Navigator initiative began as a jointly-sponsored initiative by the U.S. Department of Labor’s Employment and Training Administration and the Social Security Administration. This initiative was designed to achieve more integrated and comprehensive service delivery and supports for people with disabilities in the workforce investment system. DPN grants helped establish the position of Disability Program Navigator in workforce systems across the country. DPNs have helped to improve access to one-stop career center programs and services, build cross-agency partnerships, enhance connections to employers, and other activities. With most of the DPN grant funding expiring at the end of June 2010, we are interested to learn about efforts or plans in your state to continue DPN activities.
