Media Accreditation

Netball New Zealand manages all media and photographer accreditation for Silver Ferns Test Matches hosted on NZ-soil, including the following:

- Netball Quad Series (Auckland and Invercargill)
- Taini Jamison Trophy (Porirua, Napier and Hamilton)
- Constellation Cup (Auckland and Christchurch)


Submitting this application does not guarantee accreditation for the 2017 international season.

Media accreditation will only be issued to ‘working media’, being those wishing to attend for the purpose of producing media coverage. This may be verified with the relevant media outlet.

Applications for accreditation close at 5pm, Wednesday 14 June, 2017.
Media Accreditation Terms and Conditions
  • Media Accreditation is not transferable.
  • This media accreditation pass is the property of Netball New Zealand. Netball New Zealand has the right to suspend or revoke accreditation at any time in its absolute discretion.
  • All accredited media must clearly display their valid accreditation pass at all times.
  • All media must remain behind SKY TV cameras at all times.
  • Media must conduct their work solely from within designated areas determined by Netball New Zealand at each venue.
  • Working space on the media bench may be allocated by Netball New Zealand.
  • Media may not approach players, coaches or officials, or enter the playing area, during the match.
  • Media may attend the official post-match press conference at the venue, with representatives from both teams in attendance.
  • Media must remain in the designated areas during presentation ceremonies. 

Extra Guidelines for Photographers (only)
  • All accredited photographers must wear their accreditation pass and official photographer's vest on the outside of their clothing, as supplied by Netball New Zealand.
  • Photographers must position themselves behind the courtside A-frame / Digital advertising signage for the duration of the match. They must not enter the field of play.
  • Photographers must not obstruct the view of any spectators
  • Photographers must not approach the team bench or timing and scorers bench during the match.
  • Photographers cannot use flash or strobe lighting during matches.
  • Photographers must wear covered shoes at all times.
  • Any photographs taken during the accredited event must not be provided to sponsors or similar without the prior consent of Netball New Zealand or the host team.
Special Broadcast Conditions
  • Only rights holding broadcasters are permitted to film (SKY Sport only) or commentate (SKY Sport and Radio Sport) on Silver Ferns Test Matches within official venues.
    • Live streaming and video footage inside official venues (including Snapchat, Facebook Live, Instagram Stories, Periscope, Snappy TV and other technologies) is strictly prohibited. Only digital rights holding broadcasters and Netball New Zealand representatives are permitted to live stream or video within official venues.
  • News crews are permitted to film or live stream the official post-match press conference but are not permitted to film anywhere else in the venue, unless permission has been granted prior..

Failure to abide by the above terms may result in the applicant’s accreditation being revoked. Netball New Zealand reserves the right to revoke accreditation at any time in its absolute discretion.
