FMEC and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

Help the FMEC shape its DEI activities!

Thank you for helping the Family Medicine Education Consortium (FMEC) plan its activities on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI). 

The FMEC is a hub for strengthening medical education and residency training, generating interest in family medicine among medical students, creating connections between healthcare providers, and promoting innovations. This mission has been enhanced with the newly-formed DEI Committee which will promote social justice in the communities served by FMEC and intertwine DEI values throughout everything that we do.  The possibilities for the FMEC’s work on DEI issues are endless.
This survey will take less than 5 minutes to complete.

Create a DEI track at the Annual Meeting

Convene a learning community of providers to meet monthly or quarterly

Engage experts outside of family medicine to speak on population and public health, health inequities, etc
Create models or pathways for local engagement between students/residents and community groups addressing inequities
