* 2. Please enter your name, email address, phone number, university, major, expected graduation date, and availability dates to begin/end a paid internship at LiquidPiston in Bloomfield, CT. Please note that we are only interested in candidates available to start before February 2022, and for a minimum of 3 months of continuous full time work (6 months preferred).

* 3. What sets you apart from other students? We are looking for technical depth, so please go into as much detail as you would like. Are you a subject matter expert in something?

* 4. Please describe the most complex part you have personally machined, and the strategy you used. If you do not have any machine shop experience, skip this question.

* 5. You are asked to find a supplier for a prototype flywheel (quantity 1), and get it quoted for manufacturing. What information do you need to provide to the machine shop in order to get a useful quotation?

* 6. You are asked to perform FEA on an engine connecting rod to calculate the maximum stress at 9000 RPM. What forces do you need to consider? Assuming the rod is pre-hard 4140 steel, what is the maximum allowable stress, in your opinion?
