2020 Future Leaders Forum

Instructions
IMEX and MPI are again offering opportunities for scholarship grants to qualified students to attend a half-day education program during MPI’s World Education Congress in Grapevine, Texas USA. This program is a professional development opportunity designed for students who want to further their careers by meeting and learning from some of the industry’s leaders. This program provides participants valuable insight into industry trends and strategic elements of the meeting industry. Students selected to participate in the program will receive free attendance to the Future Leaders Forum program on November 3 as well as free registration for MPI’s World Education Congress Digital Experience from November 4-6, 2020.

Eligibility
Specifically, this program is designed for students who are in their junior or senior year of college or pursuing their master’s or doctorate degrees and are interested in making a career in the meeting industry. All applicants must have a college GPA of 3.0 or higher. Students are ineligible if they have already attended a previous Future Leaders Forum in North America or Europe.

Process

Applications are due by October 2, 2020
After applications are reviewed, participants will be provided with a schedule and link to join the FLF experience.
Those who want to participate in the University Challenge will also be provided with the brief for this year and will have two weeks to complete their submission.

Travel and Accommodations
Due to the unprecedented nature of the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2020 Future Leaders Forum will be held Digitally as part of the WEC 2020 Digital Experience. At this time, participants will not be expected to travel on-site to the event in order to participate.
