Florida Law Enforcement Analyst Academy (FLEAA) Class 41 Application

Application Overview

Applications are due on May 8, 2026, by 11:45 pm (EST). Selected students will not be notified of their acceptance until May 15, 2026. Students must then reply with their intention to attend FLEAA 41 by May 22, 2026, to be admitted into the class and provided additional class details.

Applicants who have previously applied, must apply again to be considered for admittance into FLEAA Class 41.

*FLEAA will have an alternative week that students must commit to when applying to FLEAA. This is incorporated to mitigate issues that may arise if a week of class is postponed.

The application consists of the following elements:

  • Written Endorsement - Applicants must secure a written endorsement from their agency’s chief executive or designee indicating the applicant’s potential and certifying that the above requirements are met. This form can be found on the Analyst Academy webpage
    • Your written endorsement must be saved as a PDF, specifically "Last, First_FLEAA #_Written Endorsement."
      • Example: Scott, Michael_FLEAA 41_Written Endorsement.
Applications without a nomination from the supporting agency will not be considered.
  • A current professional resume
    • Your resume must be saved as a PDF, specifically "Last, First_FLEAA #_Resume."
      • Example: Scott, Michael_FLEAA 41_Resume.
Professional resumes should list work and education experience in reverse chronological order and include any relevant analytical training and skills. Professional resumes should not include pictures or contain work experience irrelevant to your job.
  • A letter of intent
    • Your cover letter must be saved as a Word document, specifically "Last, First_FLEAA #_Letter of Intent."
      • Example: Scott, Michael_FLEAA 41_Letter of Intent.
  • Two (2) application essays using the following prompts:
    • Prompt One: What strategies should analysts use to anticipate and mitigate disruptions from emerging technological threats?
    • Prompt Two: How did differences in organizational culture and priorities impact information sharing and decision making during your cross-collaborative work? How did you mitigate those impacts?
The application essays should be formatted as such:
  • At least 750 words and no more than 1250 words
  • Justified text
  • Single-spaced
  • Page number located at the bottom right footer
  • Arial, 11-point font
  • Saved as a Word document, specifically "Lastname, Firstname_FLEAA #_Application Essay #."
    • Example: Scott, Michael_FLEAA 41_Application Essay 2.
