All girls in Years 7 - 12 in 2018 are invited to sign on for our 2018 Secondary Netball Season. This must be completed by Wednesday 24th January, 2018

Netball is one of St Andrew’s most popular sports and it is wonderful to see so many students wearing the Red Dress. We are keen to get even more of our girls out on the courts representing St Andrew’s, enjoying sport and building friendships.

The 2018 Secondary Schools Netball Competition begins early in Term 1 next year and finishes late in Term 2. All teams play on Monday nights at the Fisherman’s Rd courts at Maroochydore. Bus transport is provided to the venue but no return transport is provided.

Round 1 is Monday 12th Feb with 10 weeks of competition followed by Semi Finals and Finals.

New Development

This year we will create an A and B team in each age division

All girls playing Netball are expected to participate in Netball for their Sport afternoon.

St Andrews Netball Club 2018

In addition to the above School Teams competitions we will be offering the chance to play with the St Andrews Netball Club which has teams competing at the Sunshine Coast Netball Association (SCNA) fixtures on a Saturday Morning at Fishermans Road, Maroochydore. This will be the Clubs third year at the Sunshine Coast Netball Association and we are hoping to build our team numbers for 2018. If you would love to enhance your netball skills and take your match play to the next level then this additional netball will be great for you. This year we are opening this opportunity to our primary netballers with a minimum age of 8 (born 2010) . We hope to see this great opportunity taken up by as many netballers as possible.

The Sunshine Coast Netball Association runs a terrific competition and offers great opportunities to support your netball development eg Talent Identification Programmes, Representative netball, Lyn Corbett Best and Fairest Awards, coaching and umpiring development.

Club sports are run by very generous volunteers and as such I am asking Parents for expressions of interest to coach these teams. You will be fully supported by myself and SCNA with the opportunity to complete a Netball Queensland foundation coach accreditation.

If you would like to nominate for a St Andrew's Club team and or you have some friends you would like to form a team with then please get together, let Mrs Pugh know.

If you have any questions or require any clarification about the either of the competition options please don't hesitate to contact lpugh@saac.qld.edu.au

Looking forward to a super netball season in 2018!
