Zonta Stores Returns to 2023 Conference
The D8 Conference Committee continues to collaborate on new ideas for the upcoming event in September here in Coos Bay. We (Bonnie Foroudi and Lindi Quinn) have been tasked with coordinating the Zonta Store aka The Yellow Rose Emporium. So much fun so far!! Lots of thoughts on how we can make this easy for members, attractive to your fundraising committees and sassy, of course!
Here are the basics of our plan:
The Coos Bay Area Zonta members will staff the store with one central checkout. Cash, cards (with a fee) and Venmo will be accepted. Our goal is to set up the store on Thursday the 28th. It will be on the 2nd floor above the hotel lobby. Elevators and stairs are available.
We are asking clubs to mark their inventory for the store with tags that identify their club and the item price. Deliver their goods to the store by 3:00 pm on Thursday, September 28th. We will track the sales and distribute funds to the clubs after the event. If your club opts to sell raffle tickets for a basket we can also manage that on your behalf. Last step will be picking up the unsold inventory on Saturday late afternoon on the 30th.
The Zonta Club of the Coos Bay Area Yellow Rose Emporium committee is planning to have locally roasted bagged coffee beans, Cranberry Sweets Candy, Chucks Seafood canned fish as well as Zonta International Merchandise - old and new available for sale. Home decor resale was suggested as a way to upcycle our personal once loved, over it, items.
