Overview

As public safety operations evolve, the need for privacy and security of communications has increased. This has driven an increase in the need to implement encryption technology. In order to ensure that communications interoperability is not hindered, it is critical that the use of encryption technology on communications systems is carefully planned and executed.

The purpose of this survey is to gather the information required to allow for proper planning in the use of encryption.
