Practitioner Survey

Introduction
The Department of Justice is currently developing child friendly resources on the family justice system. As part of this work, they are consulting with children and young people who have experience of the family justice system to hear what questions they might have and how best to answer these questions.
The Department would also like to hear the views of practitioners who have supported children and young people through family justice processes (e.g. separation, divorce, custody, maintenance, access, etc.) on the types of questions children and young people may have during this time, how this information might be shared with them, and in what format(s).

What is involved?
The short anonymous questionnaire asks about the context of the support provided before asking three short open-ended questions on information needs and how to answer these questions.

There is also the option to share examples of research/resources that might inform the development of the resources.

It should take between 10 and 15 minutes to complete. If you have any questions about the survey please email deirdre@insightsresearch.co.uk

If you have any questions about the consultation please contact Caoimhe Kirwan CXKirwan@justice.ie

Please complete the survey by Friday 1st August 2025

Thank you for taking the time to share your experiences.

Please note: As the survey is anonymous no identifying information will be gathered. The survey findings will be stored in adherence with GDPR.
