Step 1: Exposure Assessment.

Do you work with or handle wildlife and/or domestic animals (farm worker, processing plant worker, breeder, backyard flock owner, hunter, animal researcher, veterinarian, etc.)?
Yes - Go to Question 2
No . The risk of infection for the general public is very low. If you see a sick or dead animal, don’t touch it and report it to the
appropriate animal health authority.
If you have had close contact with an infected animal, watch for symptoms of influenza and contact your healthcare provider if you become ill within 10 days of the contact.
