The 2026 Dottie Adams
Ambassador of Light Award for Persons Supported

Dottie Adams devoted much of her life to supporting people with disabilities and their families.

This Award is specifically for a person with a developmental disability that serves as an ambassador in their community through meaningful community activities or through community employment.

The GLC is committed to keeping Dottie’s legacy alive. Toward that end, we present the Dottie Adams Ambassador of Light Award for Persons Supported to a person who uses his/her gifts and talents to give back to their community and inspire others. This award emphasizes the essential role people with disabilities play as an integral part of Georgia’s community fabric.
