Data Collection, Aggregation and Analytics |
The EE HPC WG* Dashboard Team would like to identify supercomputing centers that have implemented data collection, aggregation and analysis for operational management in a production environment on at least one large-scale system.
To begin, we ask that your site complete this very brief survey (3 questions).
While we appreciate your feedback anytime, we would like to have your answers by Friday, October 26th.
As always, we will summarize and provide feedback to you on your collective responses

Background:
· Initially, the Dashboard Team was focused on developing guidelines for dashboard elements.
· In 2017, the Dashboard Team conducted an analysis that assessed the current use of dashboards for operational management in major supercomputing centers around the globe. Most of the sites answered specifically about their facility related data collection systems. A few early adopter sites answered that they either had, or were attempting to aggregate both facility and HPC system data. (More information on these early efforts can be found on the EE HPC WG website under Groups/Infrastructure/Dashboards or Dashboards. )
· That work led to this current effort, which is to identify how these early adopters are actually using their systems with specific use case scenarios. It is also focused on implementation issues; such as system-to-system interface. Finally, it addresses the question of known or potential scalability constraints.
