Learning Needs Assessment for Leaders Directions and Explanation

This assessment tool pertains to ED and OR Nurse Managers or Nursing Supervisors ONLY. Please take a moment to read the information below. This is a confidential survey, and all responses will be aggregated and given to the ED / OR Director or Manager and respective leader.

Leader, if you have completed your Success Factors' 180 assessment in the last six (6) months, you will be asked to complete the demographic section and then rank order your 10 competencies strongest to weakest. The survey will drive you to the appropriate questions as you respond. You are not required to complete the entire survey.

This tool is intended to help the leader grow in his/her leadership skills. The aggregated results will help the leader and his/her immediate supervisor have candid conversations on strengths and development needs in areas that BHCS has identified as essential to the successful performance in a leadership role.

Aggregated results will be used as a guide for the leader to refine his/her individual development plan (IDP) as well as serve as a foundation to develop the curriculum for the ED/OR leadership development programs. These results and related reports will not list/identify any raters’ names.

Assess yourself, or the leader you are rating, against the competency behaviors. At the end of the survey, please rank order the strength of the leadership competencies in that leader and answer the open-ended question.
