Huts Survey 2023

Welcome to the BMC Huts Survey 2023

The BMC Huts Group undertook a major survey of club huts in 2016. If you have not already seen the results you can read a summary on the BMC website A sunny outlook for club huts?.
Huts were also surveyed during the 2020/21 during covid restrictions, but with a very specific focus on finding out how huts were managing the challenges of the lockdowns and restrictions.

We would like you to take part in a comprehensive survey that includes sustainability for mountain huts.  From this we will be able to share information about how clubs are addressing climate change, market factors, and returning after Covid.  As in the previous survey, individual club’s data will be confidential and will only be published in an aggregated form.  From this you may find ways to improve your ways of working.

If you are doing great things, we may contact you and ask to showcase them to support the rest of the huts network.

Questions are predominantly tick boxes and short answers with some free text.  If precise figures are not available, then an estimate is acceptable.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask via huts@thebmc.co.uk

To thank you for your participation the BMC give three random entries, received via the deadline Tuesday 19 December 2023, a £25 voucher to spend in the BMC shop.
