Call for Applications: U-First!® Train-the-Trainer Program

Thank you for your interest in the U-First!® Train-the-Trainer program. This opportunity is designed for staff working in long-term care or within a health authority who:

Are committed to providing high-quality, person-centred care.
Are in a role that allows them to facilitate U-First!® dementia education within their organization.
Have the support of their employer to:
- Fully participate in the U-First!® facilitator training on February 17 to 19, 2026 in Vancouver.
- Deliver a minimum of two U-First!® dementia education workshops annually for your organization.

I confirm that I am employed in a relevant role at a publicly-funded long-term care home or health authority.

I confirm that I can deliver at least two U-First!® sessions annually within my organization (long-term care organization or health authority).

I confirm that I can complete the pre-training requirements at least one week prior to the February 17 to 19, 2026 training in Vancouver.

I confirm that I am able to travel to attend the training, if required. (Reasonable travel expenses will be reimbursed)

I confirm that I have the approval and support of my organization and supervisor to participate in the February 17 to 19, 2026 training and to deliver U-First!® dementia training a minimum of twice per year to staff at my organization.

I confirm that I will email my employer’s letter of support to ufirstfacilitators@alzheimerbc.org by the application deadline (January 13, 2026).

Next steps
The call for applications closes at 11:59 p.m. PST on Tuesday, January 13, 2026.
Successful applicants will receive confirmation of attendance by email on Monday, January 19, 2026. Applications may be waitlisted for a future cohort if interest exceeds available space.
