The Federal Home Loan Bank of San Francisco's Affordable Housing Advisory Council (Advisory Council) gives expert guidance on current affordable housing and economic development issues and helps shape our community grant and credit programs in response.

This application to serve on the Advisory Council must be completed and submitted by the Nominee no later than the deadline of June 11th, 2025 as specified in the Advisory Council nomination announcement posted on the Bank’s website. In addition, a nomination form must be completed and submitted by the deadline as well. Late and/or incomplete nominations and applications will not be accepted.

Regulatory Requirements
An individual must satisfy Federal Housing Finance Agency regulatory requirements for residency and organization type in order to be eligible for membership on the Advisory Council of the Federal Home Loan Bank of San Francisco (Bank). Please answer the following required questions

* Residency. In order to be an Advisory Council member for the Bank, an individual must be a resident of a state that is in the geographic district of the Bank: Arizona, California, or Nevada. Does the Nominee reside in the Bank’s geographic district?

* Organization type. In order to be an Advisory Council member of the Bank, an individual must be employed by an eligible organization. Eligible organizations are community and not-for-profit organizations that are actively involved in providing or promoting low and moderate-income housing, and community and not-for-profit organizations that are actively involved in providing or promoting community lending, in the district. Community organizations include for-profit organizations. Is the Nominee employed by one of these organizations?

* Personal integrity. Character is an important consideration in evaluating any prospective Advisory Council member. All Advisory Council members must have high ethical standards and integrity in both their personal and professional dealings.
