Please note that all BURN coordinator roles are unpaid volunteer positions.
The BPK Undergraduate Research Network, also known as BURN, is recruiting student coordinators for the upcoming year.
BURN is a student-led, department-supported initiative focused on strengthening undergraduate research communication, accessibility, resources, events, and community within SFU’s Biomedical Physiology and Kinesiology department.
Coordinators will work together as a committee to help plan and promote undergraduate research events, develop student-facing resources for research pathways such as directed studies, USRAs, honours, lab volunteering, research assistant roles, and other undergraduate research opportunities, and support communication around undergraduate research through existing BPK channels.
We are currently recruiting for the following roles:
* Co-Lead
* Events & Logistics Coordinator
* Academic & Research Pathways Coordinator
* Canvas & Resources Coordinator
* Communications & Promotions Coordinator
There will be two Communications & Promotions Coordinator positions available.
Applications are due Friday, August 7, 2026.
