Sign up for a tour of Eureka Recycling

Thank you for your interest in touring Eureka Recycling, the facility that sorts and sells Minneapolis residential recycling.  This eye-opening tour will help you understand how recycling works and why it is so important to recycle correctly.  

Tour Details:
Tours are offered on the third Tuesday of each month listed below.  The tours times rotate between 8 a.m., 11 a.m., and 3 p.m. every third month and  last approximately 90 minutes.  One Saturday tour will be offered on Saturday, June 1st, 2019. 

All 2018 tours are full.  

Tour Logistics
  • For safety reasons, tours are limited to the first 10 people who have signed up.  If less than 4 people sign up, the tour may be cancelled.
  • Children must be 12 years of age or older.
  • A cell phone number for the responsible adult on each tour is required.
  • Closed toe shoes are required.
  • Unfortunately there is no wheelchair access for tours of sorting facility. Sorting facility requires ability to walk up and down flights of stairs to see sorting equipment.
  • This tour is provided for Minneapolis residents only.  Non-Minneapolis residents or groups larger than 10 can contact Eureka Recycling directly to schedule a tour. 
Tour Content
The tour is approximately 90 minutes in length and includes:
  • Presentation in Eureka’s education room on what materials are and are not recyclable, the importance of reducing and diverting waste and what happens with your recyclables after they leave Eureka’s facility. The tour group will also be given a safety briefing before going into the facility.
  • Tour of sorting facility.
  • Time for questions and discussion post tour in the Education Room.
