Requirements for Award Nominations
The following form is intended to solicit nominations for the following annual awards by the Rowlett Chamber of Commerce.
Award categories include:
- Small & Large Business of the Year
- Entrepreneur of the Year
- Rowlett Spirit (community volunteer recognition)
Each category has a separate nomination area. You are not required to nominate a business, individual, or organization for all categories, but you are welcome to do so.
You can nominate your business or a member business you think deserves recognition.
Large & Small Business of the Year Awards:
- Nominee must be an active business located or operating in the greater Rowlett area.
- Nominee must be a member in good standing with the Rowlett Chamber.
- Nominee must have been in business for a minimum of three (3) years; and
- Nominee must have demonstrated one or more of the following characteristics:
- Exception growth through the creation or addition of jobs
- Revenue growth
- Innovative products and/or services
- Exemplary customer service
- Volunteering within the greater Rowlett area
- Demonstrate economic support for the Rowlett business community
The Chamber reserves the right to request two (2) letters of reference from a third party. Nominees may furnish one of these letters if they did not submit the original nomination form.
Entrepreneur of the Year:
- Nominee must be an active business located or operating in the greater Rowlett area.
- Nominee must be a member in good standing with the Rowlett Chamber.
- Nominee must have been in business for a minimum of one (1) years; and
- Nominee must have demonstrated one or more of the following characteristics:
- Exception growth through the creation or addition of jobs
- Revenue growth
- Innovative products and/or services
- Exemplary customer service
- Volunteering within the greater Rowlett area
- Demonstrate economic support for the Rowlett business community

Rowlett Spirit
- Nominee must be either a resident or represent a company or organization housed in Rowlett.
- Nominee must show exemplary service through volunteer activities that benefit the non-profits, school district, or City of Rowlett
- Nominee must exemplify the Spirit at work within this community through activities demonstrating
- Civic pride
- Action which places service to others above self and/or
- Through an event that demonstrates the strength, energy, and resourcefulness of Rowlett
