Thank you for expressing interest in volunteering for the Washington Higher Education Sustainability Conference! As a volunteer you will receive complimentary admission in exchange for your volunteer shift. Please be prepared to volunteer on February 16th & 17th, 2016 in Spokane, Washington. The following shifts will be available:

- Registration Assistant | Help set up the registration area prior to the start of the conference. Assisting with a variety of tasks such as directing attendees, general registration, badge printing, speaker check in, etc.

- Room Monitor | Monitor the session door and answer basic questions about the event, display time warning cards for speakers, take room counts, run the mic for Q&A session as well as maintain the drinking water station and assist the stage manager as needed

- Exhibit Set-Up | Assisting exhibit manager with giving directions to exhibitor booths, setting up exhibit booths, answering basic questions, etc.

- Directional Assistant | Help set up the registration area prior to the start of the conference, assist with a variety of tasks such as directing attendees to different programs, restrooms, exhibitor stations, monitor attendee waste products, etc.

* 4. What do you hope to contribute as a volunteer? Please briefly describe any experience you have that prepares you for this role (bonus points for sustainability related experience or interest).

* 5. As a volunteer, you will be asked to interact with and direct conference attendees and/or members of the local business community. Does this strike you as exciting or concerning?

* 6. As a volunteer you will be asked to perform tasks that require the ability to think on your feet and to be able to handle a quick paced working environment. Please provide an example of a situation in which you had to react quickly.

* 7. Some volunteer positions require you to look up attendees by name through an electronic registration system and print name badges. Please indicate you comfort level and proficiency with computers with basic training.

* 8. The Washington Higher Education Sustainability Conference, February 16th & 17th, is seeking a student photographer to capture the event action! In exchange for your photographs and services, you will receive a complimentary full-conference admission as well as placement of your logo and name on our sponsor reel, website, and program.
