The Facilitating Career Development Training was developed to provide standards, training specifications, and an industry recognized Career Services Professional (CSP) certification for workforce development professionals. This title and certification (formerly the CDF) is highly recognized and valued among professionals in the workforce development field. This in-depth training is offered via 120 hours of blended learning (a combination of face-to-face class time and projects, assignments, reading, coaching, and more).
A Career Services Professional (CSP) may work in any career development setting or incorporate career development information or skills in their work with students, adults, clients, employees, or the public. This title designates individuals working in a variety of career development settings. A Career Services Professional may serve as a career group facilitator, job search trainer, career resource center coordinator, career coach, career development case manager, intake interviewer, occupational and labor market information resource person, human resources career development coordinator, employment/placement specialist, or workforce development staff person.
