Growing together: Informing the future of peer support and fostering |
Introduction
We regularly hear stories and experiences from foster carers, adopters, kinship carers and supported lodgings hosts about what is working well, what is hard, and where the system is under strain. We also hear how valuable peer support can be, and how much difference it makes to feel connected to others who understand.
.
This survey is for all those involved in caring for children and young people. It includes questions about peer support groups, whether you are currently part of one or not. And a more detailed section specifically for foster carers, which will help strengthen our wider policy and advocacy work on fostering across the UK. Insights from foster carers in England will inform our response to the Fostering for the Future consultation. All responses are anonymised.
.
Most questions are simple tick box responses, with space to add comments if you wish. The survey should take between 3 - 10 minutes to complete depending on your answers.
.
At the end of the survey you will be asked whether you would be willing to participate in a short online focus group to help us build our consultation submission, and whether you would like to receive updates from the advocacy team at Home for Good and Safe Families.
