American Circus Educators Association Innovation in Education Award

The deadline for nominations is September 18th, 2020 at 11:59 Eastern Time.

This biennial award is given to an individual based in the USA who demonstrates innovative techniques, approaches, or methods in circus education for any population. Their innovation may be recognized on the local, national, or international level. The recipient of this award will demonstrate the following qualities:

- steadfast devotion to innovating circus education techniques
- notable efforts to make their innovative methods available to the greater circus education community through outreach, publication, workshops, presentations, etc.
-significant impact on students achievement and passion for circus and/or the success of other circus educators
- innovates methods that can be adapted in diverse circus settings
-fosters new instructional approaches that represent advances over existing approaches

Educators become eligible for this award via nomination from the community. The recipient of this award is selected from the pool of nominees by the AYCO/ACE board of directors.

It is ok if various people submit a nomination for for the same candidate without knowing - we anticipate this may occur. Additionally, a group of people may join together to fill out the form for a nominee if they think it will create the strongest application. Volume of nominations for a single person does not give a candidate a better chance - the nominee will be selected based on their compatibility with the criteria the award is based on and the answers the nominators provide.

Please note- you may not save the survey and re-visit it later, so we suggest you read through it, work on your answers, and then submit once you have all of the content ready.

The winner of this award receives a complementary conference pass to the 2022 EdCon and a commemorative certificate.
