GOLFE background

Thank-you for taking the time to visit our survey

LESS is a Lancaster based not-for-profit organisation that wants to help communities live within their fair share of the planet’s resources while enabling everyone to meet their needs for a healthy home, food and environment. We are in the process of launching a new project, the GOLFE (Growing Our Local Food Economy) project, which aims to support and encourage people living in the Lancaster District to eat more local food. In order for the GOLFE project to develop initiatives that best meet the needs of local people, we would like to find out about your experiences and what we can do to help you eat more local food. Information provided will help us to identify and hopefully remove barriers to buying local food, enabling our local food economy to grow.

WHAT DO WE MEAN BY LOCAL FOOD?

The GOLFE project considers local food to be that which is grown, produced or processed within a 20 mile radius of Lancaster. This includes Blackpool, Garstang, Ingleton and South Lakeland. Local food also includes food grown by you at home.
