Employer Interest Form

After great success in Kansas City, Colorado and Michigan, Philly SHRM is pleased to bring the Human Resources Registered Apprenticeship to Philadelphia to increase access to HR careers. In Philadelphia, more than 30,000 young adults are classified as Opportunity Youth—18- to 24-year-olds disconnected from both work and school. This is a vast, overlooked pool of untapped talent. Yet, too often, these young people are denied clear onramps to meaningful careers, including the growing and impactful field of Human Resources. PSHRM is committed to changing this narrative by creating an accessible, inclusive pathway that connects Opportunity Youth to careers in HR—unlocking potential, transforming futures, and strengthening our workforce. The Philly SHRM HR Apprentices are young adults ages 18 - 24 who are eager to start a career in Human Resources.
This apprenticeship will provide an onramp to an entry level role in HR while providing employers with access to untapped talent. Apprentices will work full-time as contributing members of your team for 18 months. This is a rare opportunity to develop talent from within to meet your hiring needs. During the apprenticeship, each apprentice will complete 144 hrs of SHRM Essentials and courses via SHRM Learning System to test for the SHRM-CP exam. In addition to 12 weeks of career-readiness trainings to ensure apprentices are prepared to be an asset to your team. If you are interested in hiring a full-time apprentices to fill an entry level HR role or interested in learning more, please complete this form by September 30th.
