Welcome!
W. W. Norton & Company’s 12-week internship program is designed to introduce motivated college students, recent graduates, and those looking to make a career change to the world of publishing and to the community at Norton. Internships provide valuable hands-on experience with the day-to-day business of bookmaking, as well as opportunities to network with employees at the company and with fellow interns who frequently go on to become colleagues in the field.
To apply, please submit your resume and cover letter via this survey no later than August 14, 2026. Applications will be considered on a rolling basis, and when enough applications are received, this listing will close early. Final hiring decisions will be made by September 1, 2026, so if you do not hear from us by then, you can assume the internship has been filled by another applicant.
Please note the requested naming conventions for your resume and cover letter files.
We look forward to reviewing your materials for the History Editorial Internship, Fall 2026. Please expect us to email you with next steps if we decide to move forward with your application. Thank you for applying!
