Competitive Coach Application - 2019-20 Season
The EDHSC Competitive Coach application and selection process is underway, please find below a list of requirements for EDHSC Coaches for the 2019-2020 season. Please read and understand these requirements:
2019-20 Coaching Requirements:
□ Attend and participate in tryouts for the appropriate age group for your team
□ Coach and Manage your team to the standards and expectations set forth by EDHSC
□ Attend and participate in all Comp coaches meetings
□ Attend continuing education sessions as determined by DOC, Comp Manager & President.
□ Obtain relevant coaching & refereeing licensing as set by the appropriate governing bodies (club, league, district and state). *Minimum coaching licensce requirement - Grassroots
□ All teams are expected to enlist the services of a professional training program to supplement their team training for the 2019 season (exceptions to be reviewed and approved by the EDHSC Comp Committee).
□ Submission of this application is an indication of your intent to coach the team for the 2019-20 season whether or not your child plays on this team. Withdrawal of your application after acceptance and appointment from the EDHSC Comp Committee and BOD may result in future restrictions in your ability to coach any team in EDHSC.
Coaching selections will be made by the Comp Committee using the following criteria:
1) Relevant coaching\playing experience (player, coaching, EDHSC, last years comp team, etc.)
2) Relevant coaching licensing\qualifications
3) As applicable, coaching feedback (referees, parents, Comp Committee, etc).
4) Results, prior success, and\or marked improvement
5) Interviews as needed which will be determined by Comp Committee.
Once all selections have been presented and approved by the EDHSC Comp Committee and EDHSC Board of Directors, each selected Coach will be notified by the Competitive Program Manager.
